There is about 6% free space on the Array (as managed by SecuritySpy). Manually copying files onto the array and back is very fast. All drives 'smart' report ok, array integrity is 100% and all other services on the server are working normally. This was over many tests using BlackMagicDesign Disk Speed Test. The thing is, the hardware hasn't changed and running a speedtest on the 6Gb SAS 12TB formatted RAID6 array (at the same time as the 5 cameras are recording to it) I am getting a consistent throughput of 570MB write and 630MB read. Sometimes nothing for a few days, other times, non stop for a day. I get the error window up and a massive list of these pouring in (in batches). In the last couple of releases of the software, I have started to get a glitch occur. Very worrying if I am not around to watch it. The only way to stop SecuritySpy consuming all CPU is to restart it then it goes back to 10-20% CPU. The time when SecuritySpy starts consuming CPU there is no activity on any of the cameras. Continuous record is off, audio is turned off for all camera, no recompression is enabled, all are using H264, Motion Triggers are on. The other more concerning worry is that SecuritySpy will go from 20% to 50% then 90% CPU for all 4 processors for no apparent reason. I am currently only getting one camera to work and that keeps dropping offline.įing, and Unifi and the devices all report the cameras are getting excellent wifi, as evidenced by accessing cameras through native interfaces.Ģ. Other issues with iPhone/AppleTV Apps where cameras stop functioning but are on the SecuritySpy Mac - restarting the iOS/AppleTV App suddenly fixes the camera.

SecuritySpy will often report bad username/password even though SecuritySpy has not been touched then suddenly the camera returns and the same username/password is now ok. SecuritySpy will frequently 'lose' a camera - going to the cameras webpage shows the camera is up and working with a video stream running. I have three Unifi APs evenly spread around the houseġ.

I really don't want to have to babysit the software and monitor its disk usage. SS seems to be ignoring the remaining files for some reason.Īny idea where to start? I've been trying to figure this out on my own for several weeks. What's interesting is that my daily email from SS Daily Stats email states:ġ6.4 GB is *roughly* 1 day worth of recordings, however when I look at the share, there are recordings going back to the last time I manually removed the files, which was May 22 (the oldest folder now is, 290 GB of files currently exist). I have the software setup to delete old files after 1 day (both for startup and all other disks) but this doesn't seem to be working entirely. I can delete files both from the share (mounted as AFP) and from the server itself as the user (cameras), so I'm confident this isn't a permissions issue. I have a FreeNAS server (11.2-RELEASE-U1) setup as my capture destination for SS.
